Common Elbow Related Conditions

Elbow pain

This is a condition where the elbow joint becomes stiff and locked due to overuse, injury, inflammation, or infection. It can limit the range of motion and cause pain and swelling.

arm pain

This can result from injury or overuse of the muscles, tendons, or ligaments in the arm. It can also be caused by joint fixation, nerve compression or damage, such as cervical radiculitis, carpal tunnel syndrome or cubital tunnel syndrome.

arm numbness

This can be a sign of nerve damage or compression in the arm, elbow, or neck. It can also be caused by poor blood circulation or certain medications. It can affect sensation, movement, and strength in the arm.

tennis elbow - lateral epicondylitis

This is a condition where the tendons that attach to the outer side of the elbow become inflamed and painful due to overuse or injury. It can affect people who do activities that involve repeated twisting or gripping motions, such as tennis players or carpenters.

golfer's elbow - medial epicondylitis

This is a condition where the tendons that attach to the inner side of the elbow become inflamed and painful due to overuse or injury. It can affect people who do activities that involve repeated bending or flexing motions, such as golfers or painters.

forearm myofascial trigger points

These are tender spots in the muscles of the forearm that can cause pain and tightness in the elbow and wrist. They can be triggered by stress, poor posture, or repetitive movements.

pronator teres syndrome

A condition that causes pain and tingling in the forearm and hand. It is caused by compression of the median nerve as it passes through the pronator teres muscle in the forearm. The compression can be due to repetitive activities that involve pronation (turning the palm downward), such as typing, writing, or playing sports.

elbow joint fixation

This is a condition where the elbow joint becomes stiff and locked due to overuse, injury, inflammation, or infection. It can limit the range of motion and cause pain and swelling.
